Although I never recall BC teams getting beat this bad, I think there are some similarities....

Both very conservative on offense - vanilla

Pretty good defensively.

OK, not great, but OK recruiters with some gems mixed in here and there.

Would always tease us with some near upsets and some upsets, but would seem to lose games we weren't supposed to lose (like Furman)

Both really nice guys.

I actually defended Curry to the max..AT the time, I thought he was as good of a coach as we could get here at Tech. I actually was not happy to see him leave at the time. I remember the same debates as we have now - the "pro-Curry" vs the "anti-Curry".

FWIW, at this point, I just wanna see DB replaced by a great AD (one of several that have been mentioned would be FAR better than DB), and just let him take over and make the tough decisions..
 
What scares me is that firing Braine is such a no Brainer, and yet it does not happen.

Maybe we can schedule Oglethorpe so we can focus on the real purpose of the college experience. Lets see how much revenue that brings in.

Ogelthorpe University beat Georgia Tech on one given Saturday many, many decades ago - and don't discount your idea. David Braine just might try to sell MARTA passes to the game on e-bay with seats in the Letterman's Suite for the newly revived "Ogelthorpe - Georgia Tech series". And the Webster's dictionary says: "Dumb Jock / 1974 Georgia Tech assistant football coach / David Braine / Empty Suit with no clue."
