that we got from Dave Braine after the 2002 season?

Is it now time for Chan Gailey to do something similar.?

He could apologize for leaving an arrow in his quiver and never shooting it. (Taylor Bennett)

He could apologize for leaving the Fullback and Tight Ends out of our offense this season and previous seasons.

He can apologize for going conservative with a lead against Notre Dame to start 2006 off with a whimper.

He could apologize for continued shoddy special teams play.

He could apologize for taking until his 5th season to give up the play calling duties and concentrating on the overall program.

He could apologize for taking 4 1/2 years to finally figure out that "recruiting thing".

He could apologize for sticking with a QB for 4 entire seasons whose play only got worse and had other, shall we say character issues.

He could apologize for finishing 2006 with an 0-3 record in our most important games.

He could apologize for having an 0-5 record vs. UGA.

He could apologize for his teams quitting, '02 vs UGA, and '05 vs. Utah.

How many of you think that Chan would ever do something like this? Is it even in his character to do something like this?

How many of you feel that he should do something like this?

I don't think he needs to apologize to the fans for anything. He either needs to correct the problems or quit. But I don't want to hear any apologies from anybody.

There are a ton of things that CCG could have done differently over the past five years. You can call him stubborn, you can call him incompetent, you can call him overly conservative.

BUT, I don't think that you can question his character.

He could apologize for winning seasons.

He could apologize for flunkgate.

He could apologize for 5 straight bowls.

He could apologize for NCAA scholarship limitations.

He could apologize for helluvaparamedic being so obtuse that he only looks for negatives.

He could apologize for a great recruiting class that will help us to go further.

He could apologize for taking us to the ACCCG which could lead to an additional loss.

He could apologize for building a solid foundation from which we can expect a bright future.

Why are you so miserable? We are very close to being the class of the ACC. Stability matters.

GT1992,

There have been many things on the field that I did not agree with CCG about. I have even had to listen to two little Oriental nerds sitting in front of us make fun of his play calling and tell all around them what the next play we were to run would be. The problem of it all was that they were always 100% on the money. A couple of the fans in our area would even ask these two what we were about to run on the next play. They were a real "sideshow" back then.
During this time I too wondered if Chan Gailey would be able to get the job done at GT. Saying all that, I still think he is the man for GT at this point in time. We do NOT know all the factors that enter in the decisions that he must make so therefore we can only judge him by his last decision. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not so good. Saying all this is just to say that:

I agree with your reply on this post. Good job and keep up the good work.
