Personally, I agree with Dr. Saturday that it's a little inane:
See where the ridiculous Conference Wars have left us, in a world where "Snubbed by Georgia" can be transmogrified into the equivalent of "Snubbed by Mississippi State," and players at a program that's been to eleven straight bowl games can have "a chip on their shoulder," at home, against one of the losingest major outfits in the country. You know, to prove they "belong with the best in the nation."

GT just needs to win it's football game this weekend, regardless of the conference affiliation of the opponent.

It won't affect the SEC/ACC argument unless we lose. MSU is considered a bottom-feeder in the SEC (even with the sluggfest against Auburn).

Regardless of this game, the ACC is going to be mediocre and SEC is going to be the best. Its moot.

Bottom line: GT needs this game for bowl eligibility come December.

A win would do the ACC good...just to have a mark in the 'W' column vs the SEC, nothing more really

Could be for conference pride in a way but,
GT just needs to win because it's just another football game and GT's purpose is simply to win.

Pride?
OK, How bout GT PRIDE ?????????

When we win we need to start an ACC chant!!! ACC ACC ACC ACC ACC

Couldn;t agree more. this game has everything o do with GT and MSU.

Is Duke, FSU, or Vandy part of this game. Heck no! This is for us.

If this is about conference pride can we count a piece of the Men's national basketball championships won by Duke, UNC, NCSU or Maryland. I think not.

Yeah, I agree with most of the responses. I just wanted to post the article because I thought it was humorous.
