Does this turf have traction issues?

It seems to me that there have been a lot of instances of players losing their footing in a variety of situations? How common is the surface that GT has chosen to play on? What say you?

It certainly seems like it has traction issues. Dunno if it’s a matter of finding the right cleats or what, but a lot of people have been slipping and falling.

It’s also fugly - not a good shade of green, and ends up with ugly brown streaks that are presumably the coconut infill piling up when we groom the turf.

And (probably down to a budget/labor issue) we haven’t been varying the paint schemes noticeably this year, either. Maybe we’ll do something different for homecoming or whatever.

Unless and until we start bringing in program-changing amounts of money from events, I’d still rather have natural grass.

It’s adidas. Nike would never allow such terrible shoes.

Wait a minute though...if we can find cleats that work on our home field and wear normal cleats on the road, wouldn't that give us a belichickesque advantage?
