Article about Nick Claytor suggests he is fed up with the constant nagging that is recruiting. His final four are Tech, Ohio State, Auburn, and LSU. It also says he cancelled GT commit Kyle Jackson's number(Uh-Oh) because of his persisitent calling. His three main factors for making a decision are 1)Winning Team...2)Has a Good Recruiting Class...3)Has a sports psychology major. Tech will win 7, and we are working as hard as we can to get that up to 8-10, We have a good recruiting class coming in, And We have a psychology major, just not Sports Psychology. I don't know how much stock you can put into an article like this, especially from the AUC, but there are a lot of things about this article that are unsettling. And possibly the most unsettling of all is that it is also under the UGAy section of the AUC when UGAy isn't even still on his list. What's that crap about?

I'm not sure how I feel about that. If Claytor feels cornered, then just tell Jackson to ease off and stop calling (instead of blocking his number) - I also understand that this part of the story is unclear and he may have already taken that approach before blocking the number.

On the other hand, part of recruiting is understanding the person and building a relationship. We'd need to keep the lines of communication open with him but not to the point of annoyance.

Will be interested if this blocking of his number is an inside joke with Jackson since they supposedly have a good relationship.

Kyle had someone post on the Hive that stated the statement wasn't true. Claytor did say it to the reporter, but it wasn't true. They both got a laugh out of it apparently.

Thanks - they got me on that one. I'm usually pretty good about picking up stuff said in jest - because I'm usually saying stuff in jest.

Whew! I thought Claytor was really leaning away from Tech with that interview, and blocking of Jackson's number.

Let me go change my undershorts...
