Had a coach once that drilled the fact that winning was all that really mattered.
To him, since the taste of losing was much like the taste of dog crap, then nothing could replace winning.
yeah yeah yeah, I know the old "doesn't matter who wins, it's how you play the game" crap, so if that's the case, why invest in those expensive scoreboards that we all have today?
Maybe I'm getting too old to stay with this game, but the older I get, the worse it rubs me for these IDIOTS with their big "G" on their shirt or belt or whatever to ask me, "what happened to those Jackets?"
I'm getting tired of being honest and replying, "we got our butts whipped."
More than that, I'm getting tired of not winning !!!!!!
Dang it guys, what's it gonna take around here?
I don't see any HC change coming anytime soon. I don't see any change coming soon.
Looks like BOR's post at the first of the season may have been the most accurate post todate when he predicted how the season would go.
WE AINT WINNING CONSISTENTLY AND IT DON'T LOOK LIKE WE GOING TO EVER START !!!!
If we were to run the table from here on out, that would be great, but I'm not seeing that happen.
Just so I can end this post on an upbeat tone, I will say that I'm proud that we've gone two (2) games now without a penalty for not lining up on the ball right. I am truly proud that we've conquered that problem since we were having such a horrible time trying to line up for a snap earlier. A lot of high quality coaching and a lot of high dollars went in to the training of this group as to how to line up. It must have been a real challenge for our coaches to teach these guys who was supposed to be on the line and who was supposed to be in the backfield.
Kudos to all involved. This has been a MAJOR step in the life of GT football. Ranks right up there with a baby finally learning what the pot in the bathroom is for. Yes Sir, I'm proud now. We can line up with the best of them !!!!!!!
