I took some time during the coaching search to bash those that wanted Paul Johnson as our HC. In short, I will reiterate that I know nothing about everything. I was just posting counterpoints and all I ever cared about was that we got a head coach and quickly.
What supersedes any of my rankings of the candidates is my thankfulness for Dan Radakovich. Every move he has made has been golden, to me. This includes the hiring of Paul Johnson and the manner in which he did so. Needless to say, I am very excited and I welcome the "I told you so"s.
CPJ has made moves that I support in full. The main one includes the letting go of CJT. Although, on paper, he may have looked like a good fit, he wouldn't have been. CPJ needs to have his own people.
Now, on to the actual topic of the thread. Thank you for enduring the preface:
DJ Donley...... he's a competitor, play maker, and a winner. Why not take him and put him wherever we can? Against Clemson, he showed his play making ability. Morgan Burnett is also a total stud play maker. Imagine if we had them both in the secondary? I imagine that the coaches felt that DJ's measurements leaned toward WR, but the landscape will be different next year. We will as much talent on the field as possible at all times.
