Don't Mess With The TO

I personally enjoy the nerf Longshot sitting up in the corner of the picture. I know that mine, with the extra spring and removed air restrictors, is the scourge of my office. I can pick off coworkers from 75 feet.

Please please tell how this is accomplished?

There's an entire culture that's developed around custom modding nerf dart guns to remove the safety features. Especially with removing the air restrictors. The Longshot is a favorite of modders.

Google search "modding nerf guns" and you'll see some instructional videos.

Beej, that's not even a modded gun, that's stock. One of the guys here has it. It's wicked fun. Fully auto, fires about 3 rounds per second, good range and decent accuracy. A little prone to jamming though.

As for modding a Longshot, there's great tutorials on the internet, but it's not an easy gun to modify at all. The springs came from Lowes, for about $3. That part was easy. Removing the air restrictor though, is a pain, requires about an hour or two with a dremel, and can easily go very wrong. Try here for a good overview:

I thought about getting handgun spring, but I don't think plastics could handle the force.

You can also buy pre-modded nerf guns on Ebay, that have also been doctored up to look cool. Sort of in the 40k Boltgun mold.

Is that Michael Johnson on the right, or do we have another guy that's around eight feet tall?

Heh that reminds me of a picture of our defense group from the 2008 spring practices and it looked like a guy in the middle was holding his helmet above the heads of the rest of the crowd. Then I looked closer and realized that there was actually a head in that helmet...

Nah that's Michael. Also, I can only assume the three fingers mean triple and the circle they're making means an O...

They say it stands for three the hard way or something like that. Uno, Gladiator, and Nesbitt are best friends.

Is it just me, or does JN look like he'll make your head ES-Plode if you look at him the wrong way?

Looks like a mean dude.
