Dont we want The U to lose?

Jacket4Life13 is correct. We do want them to lose to an ACC team, however. If they don't, they'll likely be ranked higher than us if neither of us lose any more games in the BCS polls, so they would win the tie breaker. Same with VPI.
 
we need them to lose ACC games... this one proves that the ACC can have 2 top-10 teams worth being there...
 
and we will split with 2 top 10 ACC teams after we dispatch VPI.
 
If VT wins every game except for ours, we win every game and UM wins every game, the three-way tiebreaker will come down to BCS rankings. It's a bit far-fetched and I think we benefit more from UM winning tonight so the ACC doesn't become a second-run conference.

Yeah. I want Miami to win here and I'll take our chances with the conference slate. We're a long ways away from winning out in the ACC anyway.
 
That's the game. Miami will win and probably be back in the top 10.

I personally don't want Miami to return to full prominence, but thems the breaks.
 
It can only help the ACC and we really need it right now.

The ACC is set up pretty well now for 2 teams in the BCS. VPI, Miami and Tech could all end up with one or two losses.

Miami is looking like it for sure.
 
So da U will prob be back in the top 10 after this win. Where will the pollsters rank us?
