That's a bummer, he was a heralded recruit a few years ago. Expected him to be a solid contributor down the line. IIRC he played in an easy league and was therefore overlooked but had a lot of schools trying to get in late after the camp circuit (GT included).
 
Disappointing to see, but he may have same issue as MM - tons of younger talent. We have a stud DB class coming in. Good chance we'll see either Bonds or Askew as 3rd CB next season, then starting in '18
 
What issue did we have with MM, if some of you don't mind filling me in? Apparently I haven't spent enough time on stingtalk to figure this one out yet.

I think he means that his opinion is that MM is leaving because of younger talent we already have and have coming in. i.e.- won't see the field much more after this season. But if that's the case, that's like giving up because you think you can't beat somebody else out for a spot. If that's the mindset, sorry but good riddance.
 
I didn't want to start a new thread for it incase it isn't true but some of the same people who started the marcus marshall story are now saying Mills and Simmons are also leaving due to academics.
 
He made a good special teams play this year. Downed a punt at like the one.
