It's been pretty solidly established that he was at Duke this week, Wednesday or Thursday I believe, and the story was that he met with the AD. It was stated that he was consulting on the Blue Devils' coach search, though of course many used this to speculate that Spurrier himself was interested in the job.
I've heard some speculate that a Steve Spurrier may be a candidate for the Duke - his son, Steve Jr. who is currently a coach for the Gamecocks.
By the way did you know that there are four Spurriers in the USC program, but one of them isn't related to the other, more famous Spurriers? I bet that guy feels left out.
