EARLY RECRUITING RANKINGS

Welp, recruiting at Georgia Tech is definitely an uphill climb. According to rivals.com we have only one 3* or better commit and he is a 3* CB from Florida. According to gojackets.com we have 5 3* commits and they are the same CB, a TE, QB, OL, & WR from Bama, GA, Bama, & GA respectively. We aren't blowing the pants off of anybody, but we have smart kids with good ability and the hope is with coaching they will only get better. They all have outstanding frames and speed if that makes you feel any better.

Not talking to you, but Who Cares! ?

We may have a bad recruiting year, but it won't be because of the conflict of interest so called experts.
If they had been accurate over the years, CG should have won 2 COYs, and a third on the way.

I just like the press talking Tech recruiting. I agree about stars. College football is almost ALL about coaching. I do think the ratings system separates the provens from the unprovens. I think the more of these "provens" that a team picks up, the better chance they have to improve quickly and also gives depth/position.

I like the size and speed of all are early commits. Even you Gailey haters must admit we've done pretty good over the past few years recruiting. Chan gets the most out of his 2 & 3 star talent. Just ask Clemson, Auburn & Miami. Once Ball leaves and Garner takes over at QB I think Gailey will bring us consistant 9 & 10 game winners. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blue.gif

Overall, you have to feel encouraged about how we played this year relative to how the "experts" had ranked our recruiting classes in recent years. I think our staff is surprisingly good at recognizing talent. Let our coaches do their job and I think the on-field performance will continue to give them credibility.
