Miami favored by 17. Others: VPI 7 1/2 over uva, Auburn 7 over Bama, Clemson and SC are pickem, georgia 27 over Ky, BC 3 over Maryland, NCST 17 over MidTN, UNC 26 over Duke.

This will be the biggest test of Gailey's tenure. We expected to be competitive going into VT. We obviously weren't.

Miami is playing better than they have in years right now. We are hitting them at their peak. Our guys will have to play the best games they have in their lives to pull this one out.

Hopefully, next week, we'll have our first of two wins in a row and people will be wondering why in the hell we didn't play like that at UVA.

Wrong place at the wrong time...

We've only caught one good team at the right time (Auburn), and a lot of teams at bad times this season. We caught VaTech at what looks now to have been their peak. With the exception of their next game, we caught NCState just as they were catching a groove. We even played UNC and UCONN as they were playing pretty well. We played Clemson just as they were snapping out of their early season stupor. I think it's obvious we didn't play UVA under the best of circumstances, and I think everyone will agree that we're not playing Miami at the best of times. So, is there any chance to catch another team off its heels? UGA, maybe? Two recent losses could have thrown them back, or it could have just pissed them off.
I've been at every home game this year, and, from my standpoint, this team is much improved, even if the record at the end doesn't show it.

a tough stretch

Could we have been looking ahead at the Miami and Georgia games? I was woried about this 3 game strech before it happened, we lose the off week before Georgia and play a Miami team that keeps getting better every week. I'm just hoping we can pull out one of the next two.

Re: a tough stretch

If this team was looking past uvag, then that is a certain indication that CG is not getting the job done.
