Seems to be my experience too. I remember going to games as a kid starting in 2001 and it being a huge deal. People lined up waiting for the doors to open etc. Then there was even chik-fil-a to the first 100 people in. The room was covered in bowl trophies and trophies from all sports. There were kiosks with the history of each season for football and basketball. Even a theatre room with a projector that played videos such as Calvin Johnson highlights, season highlights for all sports, etc. It was like this for a good bit, I remember this tradition being in tact through 2007. It seems that right when CPJ took over, I don't know if it was the AD or just a coincidence, the Edge center just went to hell. They moved over 50 percent of the trophies and it was just a blank room with some bowl trophies on the walls. Of course the National Championship trophies have always been in the front entrance room. The theatre wasn't working and there was no more catered chik-fil-a. Really disappointing. Over the past 3-4 years i've typically tailgated on the complete other side of the Edge Center and just really haven't found my way over there before the games. This game is my girlfriends first GT game so I was going to get there early for Yellow Jacket Alley and the Edge Center. I really hope I can get her in there to see some of the history, she's really excited about that part of it. When I told her the original bleachers were under the current bleachers I'm pretty sure she came in her pants a little bit.
