its that lack of "discipline" that I think most of us are blaming on the coaching.

We were spoiled with discipline with O'leary and we kind of took it for granted.

The talent area you are 100% right. It really seems this team has loads of potential. With a special runner like Hollings BO'B should be licking his chops.

It did seem that our players may have been reading the newspaper to see how good they are. Hopefully, this is something that we got out of our system.

But this is there ONE let down game. They are going to have to bring it every week from now if they are going to have a successful season.

Thanks for your valued comments big Nate. We could have used your toughness on the D-line yesterday. I sat next to another former player yesterday and he too was appalled at the lack of toughness.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">What I object to about the coaching is the game plan, some game decisions, and a failure to get the best players on the field at the right times (thinking mostly of Bilbo).

When the game starts, "discipline" is a matter for each player to exercise; the coaches haven't been saying, "Hey, do whatever you want." I really don't think this is a GOL vs CG issue. Players are individuals: some are like Godsey, others are like Hargrove.

You're right, this has gotta be our letdown game. And we almost won it.

Nate, nice post. Can't disagree with anything you stated.

I still can't get out of my mind the two 2nd and shorts that end up with our qb on the ground with big - yardage. Know it's always important to mix it up to keep the D guessing, but also feel this offense is about moving the chains. Don't know where those two plays were going, but that's just as bad any silly penalties to me. If not worse because it kills momentum while firing up their D. Don't know if it was lack of execution, great D, or play calling that left the qb high and dry. May be a combination of all three. Those two plays seem to show how the day went in general to me.

Despite all the problems we had a chance to drive down the field and win the game. Been reading about "Finish Strong." Well, we had a chance to finish strong and didn't.

Was disappointing to see us look tired late in the game. Didn't look like CU was tired. If conditioning is a problem then they need to work on that and do a better job substituting IMO.

Want to see our team fired up to get it done especially in critical times.

Seemed to me that CU was ready for our nickel package D. Thought they exploited it all day other than one big play we got out of it.

Despite all of our problems the D did make adjustments giving us GREAT field position in second half which we did absolutely nothing with. Thanks to the CU bad snap we get ANOTHER SHOT to "Finish Strong" and WIN, and didn't get it done.

Hope the team looks at the comeback they made and builds on that as a positive.

Like I stated last night, I'm NOT throwing in the towel for this season. Let's bounce back and do great things the rest of the way.

When a team stacks the defensive line against you and knows which runner is going to get the ball, there is almost nothing you can do to make yardage. For Hollings to make 150 yards against a setup like that, he has to be special.

However, Hollings cannot do it all. As the game progressed, the Clemson defense limited their action to stopping Hollings on running plays, thus making his abilities useless in those situations. Why does BOB not use two running backs in the backfield at the same time and alternate carries to a degree.

Where was Ford? Where was Bilbo? Where was Dixon to run the ball? It is the same as last year, one man carries the ball and the whole defense knows which one to key on.

Suggs was innefective early and every fan of both Tech and Clemson knew it. Why was Bilbo not placed into service when it was evident Suggs was not in sync? Why has Bilbo gotten all of this experience in the first two games? I thought it was for playing in the tougher games when we need him. Uh! BOB! Get into the game.

Nate, your comments were right on.Makes you wonder what the staff is thinking when both ex-players AND non-players see the same things.Only the Clemson fumbles and other Clemson errors kept that from being embarrassing (and of course, Mr Hollings).
