Dear Mr. Refrigeratormover (may I call you "mover"? - it somehow intrigues ArchiTECH).
ArchiTECH wrote Uncle Dan also. Here is ArchiTECH's letter. Of course the "no good deed..." quote did not accompany the email - although the irony doesn't escape ArchiTECH:
love,
ArchiTECH

Dan,
I'm sure you're getting a lot of mail now, and I hesitate to add to your burden. But, as a Tech graduate and long time Tech supporter (including season ticket holder) I feel I must write this note. I don't write notes of this type, but this situation is so urgent that I feel I must speak out.
I hope you will replace coach Gailey with someone who has a passion for the college game of football and who appreciates the very special character of Tech. I'm afraid Tech supporters feel the GTAA is going to accept our current situation of winning a modest number of games every season and going to a third-tier bowl. I believe we are better than that and I hope you believe so, too. If you do, I believe you will replace coach Gailey.
Sometimes you have to take a risk in order to improve a situation. We don't settle for mediocrity in our academics at Tech, so please don't settle for mediocrity in our sports. We have a past that is outstanding. A bold decision by you can make that past relevant again. Please don't be afraid of the change. I will be awaiting your decision before purchasing tickets again and although I can't speak for everyone at Bobby Dodd, I can assure you those sitting around me are doing the same.
I hope you will take this opportunity to display the kind of leadership we so desperately need. There is so much conversation about how you will leave the problem to the next A.D. since you will be returning to LSU. Even if you are returning to LSU, please do the right thing by my beloved school and replace coach Gailey. We need a change to have a chance.
I apologize if my tone sounds harsh. This needs to be done quickly and I trust you will act accordingly. The Tech nation will stand with you on the decision.
