How awesome would it be for us to be playing in a BCS bowl with the mutts playing in the Capital One Bowl? :laugher:

Wow. I'm stunned they both put us in the Orange Bowl...a lot of things still have to go our way for us to even make it to the ACCCG (but it looks a lot more likely after yesterday) and then we have to win that (but given our likely ACCCG opponent if we make it, I think we would be the favorite to win, but no guarantee at all).

I love how both of them have us in better bowls than Georgia though, but really, I'd rather beat Georgia and be in a worse bowl than vice-versa. We'll see...

Not a bad thing to be reading a week and a day after your second loss of the season. :)

Hey Georgia: What's in YOUR wallet?

Bruhahahaha!!!

I will be ECSTATIC if we beat UNC in chapel hill next week, and that is what needs to happen if we are going to go to the ACCCG. That said, I'm hoping for a win but I won't be too bent out of shape if we don't get it.

These things change every week, I wouldn't get too excited.

I'm projecting us to the Music City.

I think we have a decent shot of staying East this year, provided we beat either UNC or Miami (or, of course, UGA). It seems like some of the ESPN analysts just see our 4-2 conference record and assume we control our own destiny.

That said, projecting this conference is a real pain. Last week I had Miami going to the last tier ACC bowl (the new one in Washington, DC) and now I have them in the Gator. Next week they could be in SF or Boise.

If we win out and UVA and VT win out to their game with each other, wouldn't whichever one of those who won be the only other 2-loss team and have the tiebreaker over us? I think we still need one of them to lose and then have that team beat the other one.

Obviously, but the point is to enjoy the times when your team is being noticed. Not to belittle it by pointing out how fickle these things are.

Yes, we still need help. I for one have decided not to look too far ahead. I was guilty of that earlier in the season. Next game is all that matters. Win it, then move on to the next...

You're correct. I just don't see either of them winning out. Virginia is @ Wake this week and VPI is hosting Maryland. Either of those could be a loss. Next week VPI is @ Miami. Best case scenario - they both lose this weekend. Second best scenario - VPI loses to Miami / Virginia loses to VPI.

No matter what though, we still have to beat UNC and Miami - both are winnable - both are loseable.

In order for us to make the ACCCG, here's what needs to happen:

We must win out.

The winner of the UVA/VT game must pick up another loss somewhere along the line.

That's the scenario. It was very muddy until this weekend, now it's very clear.
