Sorry if this has been posted, however, ESPN.com reports that Alabama is discussing their HC position with WV's Rodriquez and that NC State is doing the same with Navy's Johnson. Both seem to be past the initial stages.

Yeah, me too. I think he would be a good fit. He has proven at Navy to get a lot out of less talent as has Grobe at Wake. Chan has had some success as well with less than talented recruits but he has made a colossal mess of QB recruiting and development.

There's also reports that Mike Leach has met with officials from Miami. A part of me wants to see his crazy five WR schemes scoring 7 touchdowns in a half (which actually happened one TTU game), but I still doubt it would work against good defenses.

It normally hasn't worked against good defenses, and his teams have often given up a lot of yards and points against good offenses.

BOR, I would love to see Paul Johnson come to Tech too sometime in the far future. He's a great coach, and he's won wherever he's been - including at Navy *and* Hawaii.

My dad went to Southern, so I grew up with Eagle football, and he was certainly a breath of fresh air there after a few down years. That being said, I think NCSU has the right idea, and I wish him the best of luck if he decides to go there. If so, I think NCSU will be a tough team in the coming years.

Still, I'm not sure that a wishbone offense can succeed year in and year out in a big time conference. Can he get talent that will be consistently faster than the defenses in the ACC or elsewhere and be able to take the beating required by an option QB?

Why in the hell would anyone want the Alabama job? The fans are absolute nutjobs and the prestigious program that was once Alabama under Bear Bryant is long gone and nothing can bring it back(nothing within the rules of course). Alabama is the new Vanderbilt of the SEC.

I thought Chan was still our coach?

I was on the road all day yesterday, did I miss something?

BOR is in one of his moods!!:eek5:
