ESPN reporting that Miles signed his 4 yr extension at LSU

Looks like if he wins the national Championship, he'll jump from 2.8 to as much as 3.5

If so, that's a pretty good deal for one game.

He should hedge his bets. He can get +170 or so on OSU. Bet $200,000 on OSU and make $340,000 if they win. If LSU wins, he get a raise of $700,000 - his $200,000 loss.

so he wins either way. he just need to bet on the buckeyes:-)

I actually made good money last weekend in Vegas. I had tickets for LSU and OU to win their respective conference titles. I bet on MIZZOU and UT and lost both but I flew home knowing I was a winner.

BTW, the Braves at 10:1 to win the NLCS next year is the best bet around right now IMO.

Les Miles is a shaky coach. Think of all those crazy plays he called ... the Auburn game last second TD, the 4th down conversions against Florida, and the fake field goals. Granted, they all worked this time. But if they failed. LSU would have been a 4 loss team. LSU has a solid football team, don't get me wrong. But Les Miles doesn't always put his blue chip talent in the best position to win ball games. People will catch on to Miles' crazy play calling, just like everyone has caught on to Sean Payton's crazy play calling this season (I was born and raised in New Orleans so I follow LSU and the Saints).

But hey, a win is a win and congrats to Les for making bank.

But if he hadn't called them, they might also be a 4 loss team. I have no problem with the chances he took...I think in the coming years we are going to see people going for it more and more on fourth down. People will take notice of what LSU and the Pats have done this year.

If LSU didn't get a couple of gifts from Ainge in the 4th Q, and LSU loses the Capital One Bowl, (also, they should have lost to Auburn and UF) I think Miles might have been fired.
But they got lucky, so he gets a huge raise.
