Even SlackBack Fears the Tater

He is still a nad licking idiot. Joe Hamilton was short and therefore he had to roll out and couldn't throw over the middle. yeah, right.

I used to think he was the biggest home ever, and probably was, but he has given us an amazing amount of coverage so far this 'preseason'.

Earlier he called us a sleeping giant.

Excuse me, but where did he mention Joe? Hamilton was able to slide and find seams and use the middle of the field. Reggie never learned how to do it, and his release point caused his ball to rise on him often. So yeah, we couldn't use the middle of the field due to Reggie's height.

It doesn't matter what he said...it's the AJC. One time I saw this board blasting an article as Tech-hating because it said that defense would load up to stop Choice and force Bennett to try to beat them. Apparently we have very short tempers when it comes to the AJC.

Ahahaha. Well that was quite embarassing. I think I'll still leave my post up there just for posterity and so everyone can laugh.... Strange thing is I really did read the article, too.

i think ms also wrote for the AJC for a while before he went to ESPN

Learn how to read. He said that Reggie was too short. Learn how to think. Reggie was taller than Joe. Learn some football. An OL should create passing lanes (do NFL QB's "slide and find", or do the the OL's create a pocket with passing lanes?) . Learn some college football. While your "slide and find' comment makes no sense, even if true, college QBs need coaches that teach them technique.

Back to Joe, who said that everything Reggie knew, he learned himself.

Back to the article: Slabach said that Reggie could not pass over the middle because he was too short. Even your comments agree that height is not an absolute barrier to passing over the middle.

Your conclusion is lazy, like most of the football challenged on this board.. We had no middle passing game because Reggie had poor field vision that was not improved by the coaching staff (Ralph left tools behind for improving vision that have not been used) and because our line was poor at pass blocking and did not create passing lanes. If Reggie had been taller it might have helped, but like most intellectually lazy people, you can take the easy way out--blame it on Reggie. Easy, but so untrue.

Sorry that I used an example (Joe) that was not within the 4 cornes of the article, and that considering 'outside" comments hurt your brain. Take Monday off.

What exactly are these "tools" Ralph left behind and Chan refused to use? What source do you base this statement on?

Anyway, Joe was a better QB in middle school than Reggie was as a senior in college. GOL, IIRC, battled Nebraska in their mid-90s peak for him. Reggie, meanwhile, had no BCS offers to play QB.

I'm also not the football god that you apparently are, but I would think passing lanes, and passes over the middle in general, require accuracy. I certainly would have never wanted Reggie to throw through two linebackers to get to a tight end.

Can't we all just agree that the only similarities between Joe & Reggie are their height and the fact that both played QB for Tech?

Past that I don't see anything remotely similar about the two of them.
