Expectations for College Game Day

It should be interesting to see how Rad rolls out the GOLD CARPET for College Game Day for #1 game of the year w/ ND....I like the fact that he says it should be viewed as 2hrs of PR for GT....I would love to see us really sell this event to any remaining Blue Chippers out there for recruiting & see an excitement LEVEL like never before on Campus..... What would be some good ideas? Talk to me.....
& What can we expect to see RAD do make this a rememorable event for every one

First and formost he needs to get in the ear of ESPN and make sure that those guys to make that 2 hours a love fest for ND.

Second put all ND fans BEHIND THE CAMERA AND ALL GT FANS IN FRONT, WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING GREEN AMONGST OUR GOLD.

Third and final get all blue chippers there early and any rising juniors as well and let them know that there is no game day experience in the land better than GT and night in the ATL.

You made several good pts...We REALLY need the MEDIA behind us. I think it would be embarrassing to have the Hosts spend majority of AIR time Praising ND & all the HYPE from last year while on GT campus.... I tailgate at AMC....which is about as far as you can get from the SC and still be on-campus!....and I'LL be there!!!

I would assume that LSU hosted sometime during Rad's tenure so he should have some good ideas on how to use this to our best advantage.

I'll be setting up my tailgate and firing up the smoker on Friday night! Where will GameDay set up the stage, I remember for F$U in '98 it was in the Sw corner of BDS.

We need to be sure and wear Gold and raise hell non-stop while Gameday is here. Go Jackets!!

I heard they're setting up in front of the Student Center, in front of the shaft (campanile(sp?)) and the fountains and stuff.

Maybe they'll give some front row standing room to the guys (fans) wearing the body paint....That way they'll set the stage/standard for all the excitement....I'd love to see lots of signs & loud cheers for GT FOOTBALL....letting the NATION (RECRUITS) know that we're crazy bout them Jackets & that it's great to be a part of our football legacy!!!

MAKE US PROUD FELLOW JACKET FANS!!!!!!!!!! I hope to see a sell out crowd of majority GT fans!

When GameDay was confirmed for Sep 2...

...I called the GT Hotel & Conferece Center and added Friday night to my reservation so that we can be on campus Saturday morning at the set. ESPN GameDay has become part of the weekly college football tradition in this country and I know that I'm not going to miss it when they set up stage on The Flats. I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm coming up from Savannah the day before to make sure that I am there.

That and SWMBO wants to chase down Kirk Herbstreit.
