There was another thread that talked about expectations, but I thought I begin anew to impart my wisdom....
Some have said 6 wins, some say we have the talent for 7 even 8. Perhaps. Perhaps not. We're gonna lose some players in the transition, that's just the way it is, especially at Tech.
Brothas and sistas, we are gonna lose one or two we shouldn't, especially in the early going. The coach is gonna be getting adjusted to new players and vice-versa.
As for me, it's not how many we win or lose this first year, it's how we progress through the year. I want to see marked improvement in games 10 & 11 over games 1 and 2. I want to see some young players' light come on and be candidates for rookie of the year. I want some veterans to continue to mature and develop. I want to see the offense mold over the course of the season into a well-oiled machine.
In short, under Gailey, we rarely improved over the course of the season, or more accurately, would show improvement one week, then step back the next. It cost him his job.
Under Richt, this season, UGa suffered some bad losses early, but ended up with an outshot shot at the frickin' national championship game!!
Something like that's what I got in mind. I expect to see distinct improvement regardless of wins and losses. (The NC game would be gravy...)
