Utah?

This guys picks are in...Utah-23 Georgia Tech-16

Utah by 7??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wtf.gif Is this guy a Utah grad or something?

23-16? Does this guy really think we will hit 3 field goals in one game? I'm thinking more like 23-7 Utah /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

All kidding aside though, a lot of his picks seem pretty terrible. I mean West Virginia over Georgia? I hate the dogs as much as the next guy but come on.

This guy seems to have a personal agenda to get tickets sold at the bowl games. He has a close game for ALL of the bowls. What no blowouts? His first one should have been a sign. MHO, but USC is going to light it up on Texas.

Are you kidding me?

USC will struggle against a real defense and Texas has an offense that will demolish their pitiful D. Of course I have no confidence in Mack Brown, so it is possible that USC could outcoach him. No way I see a blowout that way. Could be a close win for either team or a blowout for Texas if they can rattle Leinart.

Re: Are you kidding me?

While we're all pontificating, I'll go ahead and say I think USC/UT is going to be a great game, close all the way with the lead swapping once of twice due to USC being held to a field goal on an early drive, but USC will pull away in the 4th quarter to win it by 13.

Best news I've seen today!! ABSLOSUTELY THE BEST NEWS ALL WEEK!!!!!! Yes Sir, now our team has something to motivate us to get to work even harder. I HATE this "piece of cake" attitude I'm seeing and hearing from friends about this game. It scares me to death when I hear it. It leaves a taste akin to the smell of dog crap in one's mouth to hear it. As far as I'm concerned, UTAH is the absolute NCAA Div. 1-A leader of all times and we better get ready to deal with it. NEVER will I underestimate the power of my opponent, NEVER. If you do, it'll bite you where you don't want anyone looking.

Is the injured UTAH QB a senior? If so, it scares me that the new kid who won against BYU is going to have everything to gain (starting job in spring, jumping an upper classmen, etc) and nothing to lose (he's the backup against a better team, what do you expect). Those are the guys that beat you.

I like USC\'s chances if they can keep it close.

because I think Leinart is a special QB and Young is more a great athlete with good QB skills.

I don't know who I'd pick to build a team around, probably Young. But I do know for sure who I'd pick to engineer a fourth quarter drive to win (not Young).

I don't think this pick is all that bad, WVU uses that spread option that has been giving teams fits all year and Ugag has been weak at the LB so watch out. This game will show just how vulnerable Ugag is to the option and make me think about how effective it could have been if used properly in the game two weeks ago.

RP, I differ with you on this one. As we all know, both teams are loaded and can score on anybody. That said, with the volatility of both teams, I see one or the other being completely on that day because of superior game planning over the next 3.5 weeks.

I believe we will see one team come out unstoppable early.
Beacause of the Carroll/Brown matchup, I see SC getting up 28-3 mid way thru the second quarter. Texas will then panic and turn it over a bunch.
Final score: SC 55
UT 20

If Texas wins, I see a similar plot to the game with Brown getting the monkey off his back.
Further note, if Brown wins he will make Dick Vermeil look like an emotionless stoic. He will also put out 2 books before spring ball. One on "Football, the Mack Brown Way", and a second one that he will co author with Dr. Phil. Lets call that one..."My Emotional Victory,... Life Lessons of a Humble Man".

GO TROY!

This was a tough call for me. I am aware of USC's D. They are ranked like 32nd or something, but they are top ten in turnover margin if I am correct. NOBODY has stopped them on offense this year, and that will continue to be the case. I see turnovers being the reason for a lopsided victory for USC. I bet against them once this year and lost. Since then I have picked them to cover and have been succesful. Reggie Bush. That is all I have to say.

Texas: Good Defense
USC: Bad Defense

USC killed UCLA because UCLA didn't play Oregon and doesn't have Texas caliber athletes.

Texas 38
USC 24
