Explain to me why the first ranked vs ranked ACC matchup

is a nooner on Raycom and the clemson/fsu game is a 3:30 ABC game.
 
It is the Bowden Bowl, that always triumphs anything else in the ACC.

The underlying storyline is sexier.

Plus we run the option. its 3 yards and a cloud of dust! Nobody wants to watch that.

Well, FSU is still ranked and they are a known quantity from a perception standpoint plus Bobby is chasing JoePa and Clemson just got a win under Dabo, so it is not hard to understand the appeal of Clemson/FSU from a tv standpoint.

I don't like it, but we have done well in noon games so far. I just hate having our game done by Raycom, not quite the exposure that we could get from ESPN or ABC.
 
This is ridiculous. I was planning on a 3:30 kickoff.

I just bought a cabin up in the N GA Mountains and planned on getting up there late Saturday morning, having the Dish TV guy meet me there for installation in time for GT/UNC --this sux! :mad:
 
Who is being covered instead of our game for the 12 slot on ESPN/ABC/ESPNu/ESPN2?

It is hard to believe that there are 4 better games than a 19/20 matchup at the noon slot.

One ranked team in the bunch.
 
GT was not up for the ESPN/ESPN2 noon slot. We could have been at the 8:00 ESPN2 slot, 3:30 ABC regional slot, or the noon Raycom slot.

ESPN took Notre Dame-BC at 8:00, which bumped Florida-Vandy to ESPN2. ABC then took Clemson-FSU for the regional game and there you go.
 
I heard rumors that if we win the ACCCG, Fox is going to try and sell the Orange Bowl TV rights to Raycom!

Considering the Orange will be stuck with whichever mid-major team gets into the BCS this year, they just might...
 
It's much simpler than any of this guys. unc is having their intrasquad basketball scrimmage after the game and Roy wants to play at 4:00. You know UNC isn't going to mess with Roy's schedule.
 
Swofford urged this schedule. Biased referees will be less noticeable with a Raycom audience.
