F$u.....

Didn't get a chance to see the game. Did NCST look that good or did F$U look that bad?

NC State stepping up to take over the top spot in the Atlantic just added more importance to every game on their schedule, including a Nov. 4th home date with the Jackets.

The Maryland game leads into the toughest stretch of the remaining schedule after a bye week, @Clemson, vs. Miami and @N.C. State. First things first though, gotta take care of the Terps Saturday.

Both teams looked pretty bad on D - hence the high score. It seemed every other play an FSU defensive player was hurt. It could have been the same one each time.

I don't think FSU is going to impress anyone this year - including their coach. Bowden sees potential in his team, but he doesn't believe their putting it together yet. Too bad we don't get our crack at them THIS year.

Watching FSU's win against Miami and parts of losses to Clemson and NCSU it is obvious - the Noles are no longer more talented than the rest of the ACC.

In 2nd half NCSU drove to the one and was stopped on 4th and 1, then drove for two consecutive touchdowns. No fight at all in the Noles defense.

After the stop at the one in third quarter, FSU went 99 yards and Weatherford looked great. They go up 20-10 and promptly kick out of bounds and go soft on defense. Offense is done for the night.

The only thing Saint Bobby has accomplished lately is to save the job of his son at Clemson and his former aide at NCSU. Amato is now 4-3 against his old boss.
Dad gum!

With NCSU on our schedule I would have preferred the Noles put a hurt on State. Too bad FSU was off our rotation during a time they are very beatable.

Look at the Bears record in his last few years at Bama, not spectacular, I said at the time maybe the game has passed him by. Looking at FSU the last few years maybe the game has passed Bowden by as well.

NC state's offensive philosophy is to throw "jump ball" type plays to that FR WR. And it seems to be working.

We better have our heads on straight for the rest of our games starting tomorrow with the Maryland game all the way thru the Clumsum, Miami, N.C State, and probably N.C.

Everyone is getting better as the season progresses.

I watched the whole game and was not impressed with FSU's quarterback. I thought the offensive playcalling was pretty good, but NCST adjusted great.

NCST's offense on the other hand looked REALLY good. OF course FSU's defense didn't impress me. NCST has two solid runningbacks that both looked very good, and their new QB played as well as Rivers ever did.

This team may have turned their season around last night, they will be a tough opponent.

FSU was supposed to be a defensive team, but they have had incredibly bad luck with injuries. FSU has 3 true freshmen starting in their secondary and I think they are down to 2 LBs after all the injuries.

Does Duke have a chance next week?

Old Foggy, Please Define Spectacular ....

Coach Bryant was 10-2, 9-2-1 and 8-4 in his last three seasons. The two sesons preceding those were 11-1 and 12-0 and National Championships. I would rate all but his last season spectacular, by any standard except perhaps his own.

Boby Bowden is taking the same slow path to insignificance that Paterno is following. They are selfishly battling each other for the lifetime wins championship while their programs wither beneath them.

cyclejacket is on the money, Bear Bryant was great right up until his health failed in the 1982 season.

Bowden is 4-6 in his last 10 games.

I don't know if Joe Pa is as OUT OF IT as Bowden seems to be.

Also Joe Pa fired his boy when he was not getting it done and Bowden is protecting his incompetant son.

I do have a problem w/ 70+ y/o people staying in the work force at the exclusion of more capable people. They are taking a job away from someone else. I view a head coach like a CEO and I tell you that BB is not capable of doing his duties any longer. IMO

Joe Pa I am not so sure about. He appears to be much more on top of things and may right the ship. However F$U appears to be floundering.

FSU this season to me seems like they panic in close games. I have never seen the confidence so low on a Florida State team like this one since they joined the ACC. I don't know if the league has caught up to them, or they are on a decline. Either way they are not the same cocky team they once where. As for NC State.I still think this is a bad football team. After watching that game I did not see anything to change my mind on that. I cant believe I am about to say this but our coaching staff seems to have the upper hand right now on both programs. I don't think either one could stay on the field with us for four quarters.Go Jackets!
