anybody know the origin of the "feed me" routine done by our defensive lineman, e.g., Michael Johnson?

Hopefully he'll get his fill on Saturday! THWG!!!

One of the broadcasters said something about a rap video doing that. i've never seen the video he is talking about nor do I know if this is true.

While we're on this subject, what's the origin of the "delta" signal that Jon Diesel flashed after a TD (many other players around the country have been doing it this year too)?

Started by Jay-Z and Kanye, it means "dynasty." First athlete I remember really doing it a lot was Lebron James.

And seriously guys, Shaq is the Diesel.

These responses are funny...

Feed me -> From many songs but popularized by several lyrics by Lil Wayne... "Feed me rappers or Feed me beats".

Also from another song, "Stuntin like my daddy".
In my zone, my form is so rare man,
if there's a throne, you are looking at the chairman...
How you want it? Show me my opponent...
<Sounds of Wayne eating his opponent>
<something in his mouth> Show me my opponent...
(For the "techies", he asked to see his opponent, ate his opponent, and is looking for the next opponent).

Also a common referrence to beating the competition. DL often referring to getting after the QB as "Hunting". After you finish hunting, you eat what you kill.

Got it?

Delta:
This is the sign from Jay-Z and his Rocafella label aka The Roc. It is called a diamond but is called the dynasty also.
Larry Johnson from the KC Chiefs was the first athlete to do it. LaBron is the best athlete that does it.

Other stuff:
The "Hooks" you see Greg Smith (I he did it) means he is the same frat as Ryan & Doug Stewart. There are a few Kappas on the team also. I think D. Morgan is one if I am not mistaken.

I charge for my next lesson.

the Q Dawgs----omega psi phi---do the thing with their hands as if they are lifting a bar over their head and their hands pointed outward

Once one told me that is an upside down omega. That is why they do that sign. Not sure how true that is.

Oh, maybe he told me that mmbtone...I could not remember. Thanks.

Yes -- The Q - Dogs Often they put the back sides of their hand on helmets to immate Dog ears

I believe Greg Smith tried the Q-Dog against Miss State earlier this year and got an earful (and a push-up workout) from CPJ on the sideline.

Yum.
