Your mom looks fine.Field looks fine
Not poor. Broke ass.Louisville’s turf looked better than ours (in person), IMHO. I also think they probably repaint it more than once a season, since they had that special logo at midfield this week. I know we’re poor, but we ruined a major point of pride for no real benefit. I hope we’re saving a lot of money on lawn care…

Good job, Shaw. There are artificial turf HS fields that, at least on TV, look a helluva lot better than Tech's
Bobby Dodd sits in the middle plenty of sunshine and rain. It should be easy to grow good grass. Lawn maintenance for a field that size is a rounding error in an AD budget. Shame on whoever made the decision to install that poor looking artificial turf.Louisville’s turf looked better than ours (in person), IMHO. We will probably never be told, but I’d be willing to wager that “environmentalism” was also in that equation.Something about saving money and concerts?

Only if our Shaw alums convinced us it is a selling point. We made a big deal, when we had natural turf, about our drainage system and how we pulled from a creek and treated and reused the water and blah....blah....blah.....if artificial is so wonderful, why is the baseball field still natural turf?We will probably never be told, but I’d be willing to wager that “environmentalism” was also in that equation.
Any more and I’ll get banned.
The creek could be the storm sewer pipes under the stadiumOnly if our Shaw alums convinced us it is a selling point. It is essentially a reminder of Stansbury/Collins that will live with us until we rip it up and correct the error.
Supposedly, we drew water from non municipal sources, supposedly, and that was great. The creek could be the storm sewer pipes under the stadium
I don’t think this was the case. When the transition was made I knew the lead guy for Shaw on the project. He said GT thought they’d be able to host more concerts like The Rolling Stones and soccer matches and it would be cheaper long term.We will probably never be told, but I’d be willing to wager that “environmentalism” was also in that equation.

Being there is a practically new, more modern, venue to host concerts like the stones, it is a pretty crappy reason to install artificial.I don’t think this was the case. How’s that working out.

What the hell are you talking about? You're comparing apples to Kiaso rly
Is the old astroturf a reminder of 1990 or 1994? Do blue jerseys remind you of a national championship or the worst season in the last 50 years?
