Any word on whether we're changing the field design/endzones/logo locations?
 
My only request: I'm hoping they put the "GT" back at the 50 (and maybe increase the size from 10 yds wide to 15).

A minor change that would be nice: endzone font. We've been using that "IMPACT" font since 2000. Let's change it up a little.
 
I'm hoping for a mid-field GT as well, and I wouldn't mind seeing a fully-painted endzone. Maybe one end with a white background and gold font, the other with a gold background and white font.
 
According to the new pics of the field, the stencil looks like they are at the 35's again.

I don't think anyone prefers two small GT's on the 35 over one big one on the 50. I wonder why they do that.
 
Because alumns that sit in the east stands bitched that the GT was upside down from their view
 
If the logo is going to stay 10 yards wide....I don't mind the 2 on the 35's. Since a 10 yard logo on the 50 seems too small.

I'd put it from the 40 to the 40...20 yards wide.

I think that's what UGA's is.
 
It should say "Georgia Institute of Technology" and run the entire length of the field!

I've heard two reasons for the change to the 35s.
1. Gailey wanted them moved because the paint from the center logo was right in the middle of the field where the linemen dug in. He felt that they would get better traction without the painted grass being under them.
2. With two smaller GTs on the 35s, the GT logo would have more airtime on TV than one large GT at midfield.

Have alternating gold & white squares on the sideline inside the redzone, then a gold boundary in the endzone.
 
The reason I've always heard was to not make the chairbacks on the "wrong" side of the field. Those should be in the West stands, but ADA made any construction to the west cost-prohibitive.

If GT were to break out the throwbacks this season then I think we need Joltin Jacket's avatar at midfield.
 
I'd prefer the block "T" that's in your avatar, but my old "wasp" wouldn't definitely bee sufficient.
