In my opinion, if Harris doesn't put Florida #1, then the BCS Championship Game will be OU vs. Texas, which will hopefully lead to the end of the BCS.

Seriously, could this happen? Anything that blows up the BCS and simultaneously sticks it to the SEC would be worth seeing I should think.

We can hope all we want...but the BCS just extended its tv contract through 2013. It is not going anywhere.
 
BCS Guru guy said that the chances of it being Texas at the start of the day was about 40%. He said that for Florida to make it, they would need about a 50 point lead in the Coach's poll.

The lead stands at 73.
 
I'm wondering what happens if the Harris poll has Florida and Texas in a dead-heat...
 
It's too close for there to be any chance of an idle Texas staying in front of Florida.
 
Just wait, When we get into this situation we will have to leave absolutely no doubt, or we will get screwed. I hate to say but we will get absolutely no love from the media or the voters if we were in a similar situation.
