So amidst all the doom and gloom, it just hit me... all 3 of our remaining opponents may have new coaches next season. 1 is gone, 1 is on the way out, and we have an opportunity to put the nail in the coffin of the 3rd. Puts an interesting twist on things, for sure.

GT looks to be solid underdogs in all 3 games. Chances that they win one of them?

1) Destroy VPI such that they fire Beamer before he can retire.
2) Lay a beating so horrific on Miami that candidates call to withdraw from consideration.
3) Be the loss that removes all doubt as to whether Richt is gone.
4) ...
5) Profit.

If GT profits it would be an NCAA violation. Probably not the best idea.

Actually ESPN FPI favors us over Miami and VT and sees UGA as a tossup. IMO every remaining game is a tossup. We could win 3 or we could win 0. Neither would surprise me.

- VT will have extra motivation now because the players all still love Beamer and will want to send him out on a winning note....so I believe that Beamer's announcement just makes this game more difficult.
- Miami played very inspired on Saturday night versus Duke for their interim coach. Probably also going to be a very tough game.
- UGA -- well they played like crap but I'd their QB is Bauta get benched in favor of their UVA retread again. Honestly, this one looks like the most winnable of the three even though they're the most talented of the three. One can only hope that they continue to get worse & worse and play like they've given up by the time they play us.

Winning all three would definitely surprise me. My guess is 1-2, with a win over either VT or Miami.

Wow. For reasons listed in the thread, I'd be surprised if GT is favored in any of the remaining three. GT has a hard time against VT's D even with good units, will be tough to score with the poor o-line and even worse perimeter blocking.

Miami hasn't mailed it in and might play hard for the interim guy.

Even with the best of GT teams, it seems like it takes a minor miracle to beat ugag. Yes, they don't look good now, but they've yet to play poor against GT in a very long time. Hey, we're due for them to do that...

I don't think we win any of the 3; here's to being pleasantly surprised.

Without doing my own research, I'm gonna guess GT was favored in 4 or 5 of the games we lost per the FPI.

Get all of this positive thinking out of here. There is no place for any of this false hope around here.
