Five GT Players Invited to the NFL Combine

What does CJ have to gain by going to the combine? I'm not much of a nfl draftnik but I could only see him droping his stock.

CJ's stock is going nowhere. It's a 2 to 3 day interview and I would be surprised if he worked out that much. Teams will probably want to get more of a personal feel for CJ.

Isn't his family like professional wrestlers or something? Maybe that's what he's going into.

Sorry guys, I'm having trouble visualizing anyone on that list (with the clear exception of Calvin) actually making it big in the NFL.

In the specific case of Reggie, maybe it's just me that believes he might open his mouth one time too many in the pros and be on the next ambulance to the local hospital. I'm sure there is some pro LB out there just waiting to horse-collar him.

I always thought that Kenny Scott was athletic enough to be drafted.

The word on Wrotto from the North/South or whichever senior bowl he played in was that they scouts thought he needed work but had a lot of potential. He was one of the guys who made the most progress over the week with his footwork, etc. They know he primarily played D in college and they used him at T but most seem to think he has a shot at G at the next level. He may go in a late round to a team that wants to work with him.

I don't know about KMike. He may be one of those dreaded tweeners. But he will probably get a FA shot. Scott may as well, but he didn't show well in his all star appearance.

Reggie's only shot is pure athleticism. I'm not sure what his position would be, but you know he'll take his best shot.

.

I called my former teammate that coaches the line with the Jets and put a good word in for MW. Mike has heard on him and will watch closely at the combine.

Hall put up enough numbers to get noticed. A good combine could bump up his stock. I don't expect to hear his name called during the first round or possibly even the first day, but I wouldn't be shocked for a third-round pick.

Kenny Scott will be drafted on the first day. Wrotto has potential, but after only one year on the OL, he still has the body of a DT. K-mike could unfortunately be one of the "not big enough for LB, not fast enough for S" types, although I don't really know the specifics.

CJ will probably just be measured (ht, wt, hand, wingspan, etc.), take the Wonderlic and do team interviews.

I have a feeling that KMike will have the same fate as Wimbush because of his size. A lot of teams will pass on him and someone may take a chance with him as a SS and special teamer as a late round pick or as a UFA.

Kenny Scott needs to excel at the combine or he will be a second day draftee. He was smoked in the Senior Bowl and needs to do well to be a first day guy.
