Florida St's program is a trainwreck!

FSU will have a maximum of 13 players suspended for the 1st 3 games of '08. Whoever catches the Seminoles early will have a pretty good shot at a victory. Also, QB Xavier Lee & DB Letroy Guion did not enroll for Spring Semester & are not in school.
There's also transfers & others just leaving the program;

If I'm not mistaken, Lee has already declared for the NFL draft.

Yeah he has. He was asked to move to tight end and said no. Man talk about a 5 star bust.

better them than us....it will be tricky to RS some of the incoming frosh if they don't have enough depth...esp as they progress through the season as injuries occur....Oh well stinks for FSU For Sure Ugly!

Because he thinks he's going to play QB in the NFL? Moving to TE or somewhere else was probably going to be his best shot at the pros...there's no way he will make a team as a QB.

It's gotten to the point where I don't even hate F$U anymore...they're that bad off. It's pretty pathetic actually. I miss the days where they used to be a perennial powerhouse....those UF F$U games in the mid and late '90s were all classics.

I wish I could say that, but growing up a Cane fan during UM's probation era when the U lost 6 straight to F$U was not easy. I will always hate the Criminoles, however I recognize that them along with Miami and Clemson must rise again if the ACC is to be the league what everyone envisioned it would be after te merger. I hope they get rise again or at least remain competitive enough so that when Jimbo Fisher finally takes over the team isn't completelly ruined.

PS: Those UM-F$U games were not bad either.

Bobby Bowden's ego and desire to be the "all-time winningest coach" will end up destroying that program before its all over. He is way past a recommended retirement time. I would also imagine most F$U fans feel the same way but nothing can be done about an "icon". At least Bear stepped down when it was time.

blasphemy.

We should revel in the death of FSU, moreso Miami.

They are re-working their schedule to move their easiest games to the first three...including 2 of the 3 being D1AA opponents. Smart move.

:drink1:Here's to Bobby's good health. I hope he stays at the helm another three decades!

It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. I hope they have many more happy years of senility together. They being FSU and Bobby B.

You think Bobby really has much say-so in the program now? A good friend of mine was a starter on the '99 F$U Championship team, and he said Bobby was little more than a figurehead then. Think it's much different now?
