Everybody has their idea about the final score but what about the flow of the game?

I think this game will be the exact opposite of the Clemson game. I think Miami pulls out to a big lead - 17 to 21 points. Harris comes out guns blazing - Whipple has a great scheme against our D.

BUT, Miami makes the mistake - a grave mistake against CPJ and his staff - of showing their complete hand in the first half. We all know CPJ keeps some goodies for late in the game just in case.

In the second half, Tech hacks away at the lead and gets closer and closer even as Miami scores a couple more times.

I figure by midway through the fourth, we might see a 42-35 score with Miami out in front.

And as the clock winds down and both teams enter gut-check territory, Nesbitt takes the team on his back and puts together a game-tying drive and seals it with a 2-pt conversion with a couple minutes left.

Then the defense fights off a furious Miami 2-minute offense that stalls on our 15 yard line.

That is what I'm expecting to see tonight. I don't think this game is going to be much fun to watch for Tech fans - I think Miami is on fire right now and its going to take a superhuman effort to win this game. If Tech wins it will be with under five minutes left. If Miami wins it could be over much sooner than that. I do not see Tech putting this game away early under any scenario.

Why wouldn't miami just kick a field goal to win by 2 if they are on our 15 and down by one?

I think this game could go just about any way, but I see us scoring about 21 in each half. Miami will match us in the first and we'll pull away in the second.

I like your scenario better. I think CPJ sees what he needs to see in the first half and comes out strong in the third putting up 21 to 30 unanswered in the second half. I think our defense will bring their A game tonight. Somebody is going to have to step in to help Derrick Morgan because he is going to have a lot of attention tonight. Harris' quick release to his big receivers will bother us early.

Everyone was expecting a low scoring game when UGA and South Carolina played last week, but we know how that one ended up. Most everyone is expecting a slug fest high scoring game tonight. The way things go in college football I wouldn't be surprised to see a 14-10 score tonight.

I think I prefer to be down early, as crazy as that sounds. Our biggest threat seems to be an early lead followed by a let down in the 3rd quarter. I also think Miami will be very vulnerable if they go up by 10-14. We only need a brief period of cocky swagger mode from them to take a couple runs to the house.

I see us down in the first and into the second, with GT playing enough to keep it within 10 to 14, then after half time PJ makes adjustments to prevent Randy and Co. from getting all the halftime talk to adjust to any new things PJ does.

Remember, while other coaches are playing checkers, Paul Johnson is playing chess.

The secondary can't get beat deep tonight like they did last week, even if it requires the Tenuta-esque defense of giving them the underneath pass routes and hope we get enough pressure that Harris can't find the man in time and deliver a good pass.
