after attending games at grant field since 1960, it is my observation that we lost a potential heisman candidate for next season in tony hollings, in tech running back archives i compare him to 3 others , lenny snow, eddie lee ivory and robert lavette. this was a sad sad day for the ga tech faithful. if he can regain form by next season, i think we should prime him for the heisman. any thoughts,

He's the best running back I've ever seen at Georgia Tech. He damn sure would be a Heisman contender.

He would have been a contender THIS year with the numbers he was putting up.

my father just keeps on talking about Lenny Snow and that damn kick off return!

Agreed.

Tony was on the verge of becoming a darkhorse in
the Heismann race.

A friend of mine had already reserved a URL for
an upcoming website. =[

I agree GT flunkout Touchdown Tony for Heisman this year but maybe next year

Fwiw, the ABC sportscasters/commentators had brought the Heisman candidacy up during the game prior to his injury.

THWG!! FEAR THE JACKETS!!

Lenny Snow, #41,... What's he up to? Shame about Tony's injury and we'll be pulling for him all the way back.

Nice to dream about but it would never happen!

The Redneck Writers from the Athen's cesspool who work at the AUC would furiously begin to promote Greene (with envy), (Osama Bin) Musa, or (Debbie) Gibson for Heisman honors while furiously digging around at Holling's middle school to try and find if he was ever sent to the principal's office for ANYTHING!

to Schlabach, Bradley, Schultz, Hummer, and Moore! You guys that write there all should go out and **** yourselves!

There is no doubt, he would have been a candidate had he continued to put up the same numbers.
