For LSU, thank goodness it's Georgia Tech and not Texas Tech

That article was surprisingly well written, until I got to this part:

Coleman, in particular, and LSU’s linebackers are much better against the run than the pass.

The triple option is difficult to defend, but just knowing that they don’t have to worry about the pass, LSU defenders will enjoy preparing for this game. They’ll enjoy preparing for anything that is not the spread.

Do they not realize what we've done to other top-ranked rushing defenses? Do they not realize that Georgia knew we were never passing? Morons.

The writer of the article clearly doesn't understand what the "spread" means. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing this offense unleashed on LSU's defense.

I went to lunch with an LSU buddy of mine today. Just like everyone else, he said that at least they don't have to worry about the pass with Tech and they'll know what to defend.

1) U[sic]GA thought the same thing and look what happened to them
2) WE DON'T NOT PASS!!!

Correct. Because GT does run a spread offense. And I really hope that CPJ starts the game out with some passing as he did against UGA and Miami. I think that really shakes things up and unsettles the defense. If that happens the run game will be ours.

You should have told them that against Texas Tech at least they wouldn't have to worry about the run. That way they'd know what to defend. I'm sure he'd have stared into space and given you this look...

The players may be looking forward to preparing for GT, but I bet you their coaches aren't.

Urban Meyer developed his offense partially b/c he asked defensive coaches what they most hated to face, and they all said "option football."

Bob Davie wrote that just about any major college defensive coach would say the same.

I think we will see TECH's most complete, dominating offensive display of the year--with everyone healthy--the felines will wish they were playing ANYONE else!!

Well in general, LSU does play significanly better against the run than the pass (although you can't really consider stopping the 3O in the same thought as stopping the "run") LSU's strength on D is the D line and their secondary, while talented, is lost out there.

I imagine that LSU will clog the middle, and try to take away the dive at first , and there will be a lot of very big plays to be made on the outside.
But play action will be huge in this game. I'm expecting at least one or two TDs out of the passing game on play action.

Not play action, but look for Cox running straight up field from the A-back position at least once.

I expect LSU to play a similar game to VT. Give Nesbitt the QB option and see if you can pound him out of the game. I'm looking for Nesbitt to hit about 120 yards rushing.
