Get off your @$$es and write to Dave Braine AND Coach Gailey. Don't e-mail them, and don't call and leave a message with their secretaries. Get out a piece of paper and hand write them each a letter. My letter to Gailey this morning was asking for him to resign. My letter to Braine was asking him to correct his earlier mistake of hiring Gailey as soon as possible.

Venting on StinGTalk and with your friends accomplishes NOTHING. Get involved now. Braine is a "money" guy. I hope he has enough sense to react to 100's of negative letters that paint an ugly financial GTAA picture for him.

Chan should do the honorable thing and resign and apologize.
 
Gailey needs to apologize to his players and the selection committee.

I can understand anger with Braine, but those of you who think Coach Gailey should resign are insane. Those who think he should apologize should be shot. He has done nothing wrong. We had a no-so-great season. You want Coach Mac, who won a single game - upon which noone should be judged, compared to a man that just led us to a 7-5 season and a 6th straight bowl bid. unbelievable.

You are kidding aren't you?? Not so great season?? I don't want him to apologize. I want to take the next plane out of Georgia. Saturday's fiasco if nothing else proves that he has no clue as to how to run a Division 1 college football team and how to prepare a team for a game with its arch rival. Anybody would be better than him.
 
I mailed my letter today but I was in support of this school and its football team, not its current coach! Always the school and the team, coach has a Job with a contract. That's all folks!
 
I'm with FatJacket, you are kidding aren't you? Some of you people are just downright lost, trying to smile over a 7-5 season. Let me remind you. Georgia fired the first shot on our home turf last year 31-17, when O'Leary gave a half-hearted effort. This year we bring in the big gun, who starts gearing up in February supposedly. Sweet revenge,you say. Then, on national t.v. we are out of it by halftime 34-0. I'm not sure what planet some of you landed from, but if this was good football you need to go join Braine in the party room and enjoy.

Stay tuned, spring practice is around the corner. Can't wait to see that great shot they will give Bilbo to run his three plays.

Gailey is really got that steely resolve, he's going to get Richt yet....
 
tommie, we have good players. They know they are being undercoached. What do you expect?

The unltimate responsibility is with the head coach to motivate and keep everyone motivated.

Gailey gets an F for his motivational skills.

We should settle for mediocrity! Unbelievable! We should be happy watching an unmotivated team take the field. Unbelievable! We should watch a pass defense allow a weak Wake Forest team complete passes all day with no defender within ten yards of them. Unbelievable! We should watch an offense all year that can’t snap the ball, execute plays, an OC calling the strangest game on the planet, special teams that can’t hold on to the ball and a coaching staff that makes no adjustments during the game. Unbelievable! We should be satisfied with 58% winning record overall (Against teams that had a 52% winning record overall) and a conference record of 50% (Against teams that had an overall conference record of 44%). Unbelievable!

The Jacket you are right. It is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

You're happy with a 7-5 record in a weak conference from a coach who inherited more talent than any other first year coach at GT? You're happy with a trip to a lower echelon bowl that's so far down the gutter that it didn't even have a football stadium to play in last year? You're saying that a guy who simply goes in the corner and pouts while his team is getting blown out 51-7 by their arch-rival has done nothing wrong?

It's the coach's job to motivate, lead, and, get this, coach the team. Gailey has done none of this in the past season. He doesn't make halftime adjustments, he doesn't take the blame for games like Saturday's beyond what's necessary to say to the press, he lets talent rot on the bench because he's too stubborn to admit that he's wrong, he allows his players stomp on the other team's logo like a bunch of wannabe thugs, and he's been mum on every single thing that's going on with the team to the fans, the alumni, and the media.

It's a coach's responsibility to get his team to play. For $1M, you'd better produce. Gailey isn't being paid to be a babysitter (which he apparently hasn't succeeded in doing anyway), he's being paid to run a football team. He is not getting maximum results from these guys and they are underachieving horribly. It sure seems like something's wrong to me.
 
I ask those who are happy/content with state of our fb program now, WHERE IS YOUR PRIDE IN THE GREAT TRADITION THAT IS GT FOOTBALL?? How can you stand to be the laughingstock of the ACC and the whole country? How can you stand to watch your team get kicked around and humiliated on nat'l TV TWICE this season, not just Sat., but TWICE???!!!!

It is beyond me to imagine that anyone can still put on those rose-colored glasses.
 
If we go with cg one more year and get these same results how far down will we have dropped? Is that worth the risk?
 
Way to go Ghost, I am in agreement with you. I suggest we all go one step farther in helping "support" our coach. Let's all write scripts for his after the game whining about getting the score run up on him. We can write one now on what to say at Tuberville at Auburn, Fridge at Maryland, Groh, Grobe, etc. etc. He already has one for Richt. Don't need that.

As for Braine, he never apologized to McWhorter for not leveling with him, so why would he handle this any differently? Oh, I forgot, we are good in swimming and volleyball and should just calm down a little.

I guess Gailey has gone into hiding. Where will Braine be as he looks around a 55,000 seat stadium next year to a sea of orange(Clemson),blue and orange(Auburn) and red (Georgia)? I guess tickets are tickets regardless of who is buying them.

Wouldn't this all be so much easier if we just kept this half-ass effort at football and joined Conference USA?
 
I've emailed them both. Will write them as well. They have my support.

I'm not happy with what happened Sat AT ALL. Not happy with some other things as well. This doesn't mean I don't support both of them.
