so far this year.

Enough said on that side of the ball. We all know how bad the O has been.....

topic of discussion....talk away.

Tenuta is the DB's coach, and DC...the talent at S is the same as last year and so is one CB spot (roberson). So what gives?

just wow. The defense should shoulder alot of the blame. 21-3, 14-0, 21-7 in the first quarter this year...tough to blame the O for such horrible scores in ONE quarter.

Can't wait for the game tomorrow. Will be good to see a nice pounding of Miami. Hope to see a couple of INT's by the D and a couple of TD's by TB and TC (each of course).

hope u are right...

but I am not holding my breathe

The other CB spot.

to me its bigger. Its not one guy constantly blowing. Jahi has played really well in some games.

To me its scheme, effort, intensity, tackling...all those have been suspect at the same time or at different times sprinkled throughout the game.

It feels like a team that hasn't bought into a scheme that is 6 years in the making and proven. It feels like that. Now, that isn't the case, but it just feels like that b/c the effort seems so poor at times. I don't get it. I don't know why these guys constantly think they are better than they are game after game despite getting their heads kicked in each first half.

I predicted before the season that the biggest loss would be Kenny Scott, not Calvin, and I was ridiculed for saying it.

A great CB is one that is never mentioned. People don't notice if he is doing a good job.

Not many teams have a shut down field corner, and we had one in Scott. We do not have one this year, and the safeties are having to help out, which makes them look worse--even in run support.

This started in the Gator Bowl, but no one seemed to notice.

Time to notice.

To be honest, I just don't think we have the same players on defense we did a couple of years ago. Kenny Scott would have helped a lot against Heyward-Bey and Anoia(sp?) would have helped our team this year get to the QB. There's also the factor of Matt Ryan playing on our schedule this year.

I'll admit it's maddening, but I do think it's our overall level of talent on defense rather than Tenuta's coaching.

Safe bet. Tenuta is still Tenuta but some of the D personnel are different and the opposing team offensive personnel are different.
