I went last year and probably will go again this year. It's a lot of fun with silent and live auctions, etc. Dress is probably the up-side of casual. (Formal wear isn't needed, but t-shirts and shorts wouldn't fit in either.)
I encourage all to make it if you can. It's definitely worth it!
