Well, even if we dont get him, thats good company to be in.

the word on the street is that he wants out of the state.

Correct...he said his top 4 are Florida, SoCal, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech. However, it will be interesting to see if we allocate our recruiting resources elsewhere since we only want 3 LB's...have two committed...and we could hear something from Mike Gilliard and/or Nigel Thornton-Mitchell real soon. We will take both of them if they each choose GT early.

That being said, Gilliard is recruited as a LB but also has the body type for safety.

Regarding Telfort, I have never seen anyone discuss other positions...but he did measure at 5-11, 194 at a recent camp. Other positions like safety could be a possibility although his short shuttle time of 4.34 seems slow for someone in coverage unless he just had a bad day.

Isn't Mitchell-Thornton small for a linebacker, and slow? Why are we putting him up there with Gilliard and Telfort?

Nigel is bigger than Telfort and as big as Gilliard.

Nigel is a true-blue linebacker that has an incredible nose for the ball. (also a "GT guy" with a 3.4 GPA) I would rather have a football smart LB that plays and hits at 4.9 speed than a linebacker that can run a 4.6 at a combine but hits at 5.2 and tackles with his arms. I am not saying that is the case with Gilliard or Telfort...just that Nigel's "combine" stats are not necessarily reflective of his linebacker ability.

Also...keep in mind that with appropriate training on the take-off a person can run a forty that nowhere near reflects that reaction time and closing speed to read a play and make a tackle.

Just watch the film.

Regarding Telfort...he is still a longshot.

Nigel Thornton-Mitchell has offers from Maryland, NCState, Stanford, Miss. State, Wake Forest, Duke, etc. in addition to Georgia Tech. Auburn, Clemson, Florida, and Tennessee have picked up their interest in him as well.

bottom line...I trust Giff and BJ's ability to decide who we take and do not take on defense

How do you guys keep so up to date with recruiting?

Scouts insider?

spending time reading and not posting drivel beneath everyone else's post, especially one that call people's ideas stupid just because you are not able to understand them...

I have no problems with anyone on this board, but if you post snide, rude, remarks, then don't expect any respect back.

FatJacket, as GTWannabee correctly stated, i was referring to the one and only poster extraordinaire, GTKyle who never left a thread behind without leaving a crumb of his whiz-dumb for all to enjoy, despite regularly not even trying to read the posts

Wrong. I read far more than I post. You're just a moron.

you dont want to say that to my face, i am sure, and you are the moron for sure considering many of your posts and then you ripped me for forwarding an idea that you didnt even understand in your apparently small and attention-deficit brain

for example, right on this board there is a post titled "season game tickets" and the post asks if they are available, and your reply? "i think the spring game is free" did you read the question, even? apparently not! or if you did you did not understand it, BUT you HAD TO post something

You just continue to display your idiocy. You realize that gsu_paintballer changed the title of his post after I posted that?

And yes, I would call you a moron to your face.

And yes, I would call you a moron to your face.

not twice, i guarantee!

furthermore, why would ANYONE ask when they can buy GAME TICKETS for a scrimmage? the "spring game" is a scrimmage, not even a 'stylized' game as other teams do. Tech has pretty much always kept it at charging for concessions, not for attendance

and the fact remains, that you feel the urge to post all over even when you know nothing about it or even read the posts carefully, your own signature that you had before even boasted about it
