Sounds like a bit of a plea bargain to me, hoping that the NCAA sweeps this under the rug like they do with everything else in Tallahassee.

Florida State's sports teams will be on probation for the next two years because of an academic cheating scandal.
According to an investigatory report released by the university, about 60 student athletes have lost or will suffer some loss of eligibility. Two staffers already have been fired.
Florida State officials conducted the investigation with assistance from the NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference and a consulting firm.

Sounds like what we did when the whole academic ineligibility thing hit us. Can't blame them for trying to police their own and avoid the long arm of the NCAA law.
 
They'll get off easier than we did, and their case is a lot worse than ours.
 
But wait, we were grossly out of control. Some of our students athletes were somehow confused by the system changing from quarters to semesters. That is extremely devious. And some even took one super hard science course in place of another. Oh, the inhumanity...:mad:
