The free shuttle from Atlantic Station has been started again. I used it last week and it was a little slow, but, they are adding another bus and personnel to manage the departures. Two years ago the shuttle was run using the Tech Trolleys, now Atlantic Station is providing the buses (they are super comfortable and air conditioned, and hold more people). They leave from the street in front of the Regal Theaters and drop you off at 3rd street and Spring street at the I-75 tunnel about 2 blocks from the Varsity. It only cost me $6 for the Mercer game versus the $20 parking lot I've been parking. Another thing I like about it is you have easy access to I-75. Try it you'll like it.......

Is the $6 parking for parking in the AS garages?

I enter the Atlantic Station garage on north on Fowler St. go in the second garage entrance you get a parking ticket, and I drive down to the purple (areas are color coded) and that will locate you under a central park and there are escalators to take you up to street level (also an elevator). When you come out to street level you'll be 50 feet from the shuttle stop (there's a sign) in front of the Regal theaters.

I think the question was if you have to pay to use the shuttle in addition to paying to use the deck. If so, it wouldn't be that great a deal unless you are alone.

But is it free?
I'm pretty sure it's free, when I got on the shuttle no one asked to see my ticket or wanted money. The cushy seat and air conditioning was free also. The chili slaw dog, onion rings and coke I had at the Varsity was not free, they wanted money for that. :coolugh:

You will pay extra for that later.

So $6 gets you entrance to the garage and free shuttle to the stadium. I think I got it.

Thanks everyone...Lex, Coit
