Will you support a Ugagger as coach? It sounds imminent. The support will need to be from the top and from an emotional standpoint the former players carry a lot more wight than the big donors.

Will you support a Dawg? I think I'm ok with it but I don't really know why because I do hate them. That being said, I tend to hate their neck fans who didn't go to school there a lot more than I actually hate their players or coaches or even alums.

If Mucschmap is named HC I hope he succeeds.

But because he was a dawg he will be given a much shorter leash, IMO. He'd better win 8-9 games SOON or both he and DRad will be toast...

Can't say that I like the decision if that's the way Dan goes, but I will keep an open mind and hope to meet with him as soon as he gets into town.

Funny, just spoke to a gagger friend here at work and updated him with current situation. Said he and his other gag buddies were talking about Muschamp the other day and how they all hate him even though he was a UGAg graduate. Said they would certainly hate him even more if we hired him.

I think the bulldog nation would disown him, which might inspire some hatred :)

Even Better!

If he gets hired the following should happen at the presser:

DRad: I'm pleased to introduce Will Muschamp as the next coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Football team. Muschamp has accomplished blah blah blah ..... What's the Good Word, Will?

CWM: To Hell with Georgia!

That's exactly what I told my wife this morning....."To Hell with Georgia" should be the first thing out of his mouth.......

Maybe DRad should get the You Tube post of Muschamp on the sidelines at the ARK game. Say to the Press something to the effect of "I think we have found someone who can motivate on the sidelines".

At least Muschamp knows the SE USA as a recruiting base, that would be helpful.

I have talked to someone who recently spoke with one of my old coaches who coached with muschamp recently.
my old GT coach thought he would be a good fit but likes edsall as well.
I would have to meet him and have him convince me

He is not liked by most UGA people as well as he doesnt embrace UGA much at all anymore.

A little historical perspective....

Once upon a time, the Ugaggers' AD - a certain former Auburn MBB coach (Joel Eaves) - hired an Aubbie grad & position coach (Howdy Dooley) as HFC.

The only thing popular about it was it got a certain Ugag alumnus, one Johnny Griffith, who couldn't beat us out of the position after only three years of getting thumped.

Let's keep an open mind & if, if, WM is named HFC, throw our support behind him

Regardless of alumni affiliations, coaches want to win, especially against the school they send their alumni dues to. Jim Carlen at Texas Tech & South Carolina, Ted Roof at Puke, & Frank Broyles at Ark are just a few who always seem to coach harder against GT.

i think we fans are in the same boat. We want to like him and in many ways I think we think he would be a good fit. But man, it's hard to have a Ugag guy. But, if he beats them 50% of the tiem, he can have Uga walk the sidelines for all I care.

Thanks for being honest. I think Edsall wants the job but I'm not sure he's going to get the chance. If not him, then Muschamp would do quite well I think...but I'm usually wrong.

i did read an online article about him and bobo speaking before the game this year... i dont want my coach talking to anyone at the cesspool ever

What is Muschamps claim to fame? A very young guy that has never been a head coach? Just because he is exuberant does that mean he is HEAD coach material?
I would rather have Hatcher at Val St personally.

Saban's DC when they won the NC at LSU. Trained by Saban, loved by Saban. Went to work with Saban at the Dolphins but returned to be DC at auburn. He's had soem good games with auburn but I wouldn't say i'ma ll that impressed with his work there. Tuberville and saban both think very highly of him and i would trust their opinion on assistants as they were both great assistants and very fine head coaches as well.
