So if we don't have a 250 yard rushing day against puke then we will have had a bad day!

Can we do it without a fullback. Both Cox...and his makeshift backup (Matthews) will be out.

The only player left is walk-on Kamp.

Assuming We Don't Burn Bray's Redshirt

If we lost Cox & Matthews for the year, I think it would be worth it for UGA, ACCCG, and the bowl (possibly Orange).

I doubt Matthews will be back for UGA either...Anyaibe and Tyler Evans are definitely out for UGA as well.
If Cox rests against Duke (not sure who takes his place), he will be ready for UGA.

I think Matt Braman might make a good blocking back. I would rather see him make the switch than burn Bray's redshirt at this point in the season.

OTOH, I would bring in Dwyer/Jones/Nesbitt etal in right now and burn their freshman year to beat UGA next weekend.

Cycle, how about the freshman that's playing on special teams and is listed as a linebacker? I can't remember his name right now. But Braman is a good idea.

Otherwise, as to your statement on Jones, et al, they will be burnign their redshirt next year to beat UGA.

Let the record show that Cox will be back next year, and Bray could redshirt then.

I am not saying CCG should burn Bray's redshirt, but if Cox was hit by a train (which would wreck the train but would put Cox out a month or two), I'd consider it.

After seeing what Braman could do in practice.

It's not every day we have a shot at the Orange Bowl.

You might be referring to Sedric(?) Griffin. Good hitter but Braman has more size. I would have to look at their HS records and see which had some experience on offense to make a better choice.

trying to catch back up here.

It is not a matter of burning Bray's redshirt...he is not ready. He is a fine player but came from an extremely small independent league and needs to time to develop strength and knowledge. The FB in our offense is required to read a lot of different situations....a critical role.

Matt Braman is a Sophomore LB...but he also was a starting FB in high school...he does have experience that is not that far removed. To my knowledge, he has not worked out at FB at all at GT.

Matthews typically filled in when pressed in some formations as a FB...but he is hurt as well.

Lets just hope Cox can get healthy quick.
