Dienhart says he has had it confirmed from his sources at Gt that Rick Neuheisel is the front runner at GT. " Gt likes the splash Nationally this hire would make".

I say Neuheisel, Hatcher, and Johnson are the top 3 right now. (Of course all of this can change quickly) :laugher:

I hear money may be a factor with Paul Johnson but, it is likely the Big Donors would step up if he is the man that the board wants.

one word Herbstreet.....Dienhardt likes his own splash more probably

If you think about it though Rick Neuheisel would

make the biggest splash for us. I hope we are pleasantly surprised and he get's the job.

My 1st choice is RN
2nd choice is Hatcher
3rd choice is Johnson.

All 3 could succeed here.

On RN, they brought up a good point on 790, that he will come here more contrite and humble, and with the urgency to prove himself again and bring himself some redemption. This could be very true, but if he has 3 or 4 really good years, he could be out the door for a bigger school again, but is that the best risk to take, rather than taking a risk on a more unknown coach (coordinator or small school coach) who could have 3 or 4 great years and then still be called to bigger money at a bigger school?
