From the Fish Wrapper......latest article on A.D.

What are you talking about. He was called by the paper, and he basically said he's applied and he doesn't know anything else. He also said he's confident the school will make the best choice. Pretty much the same thing Cremins said. So what's your beef with Curry? He hasn't done anything but answer a question.

It is generally good form to decline media interviews during certain, sensitive periods. For the record, you can decline an interview. Of course---to be fair, I'm sure the AJC could turn that into the article that was linked to quite easily.

Just he is getting a lot of press and my person feeling is it may hurt. I hope not......... just my feeling. I hope he is the man. I feel it can get a lot done in a short period of time.

So Cremins should turn them down as well? And Morris should have last week or whenever it was?

Yes. They should not give interviews about the position after applying until asked to do so by GT. That's my opinion. You are certainly entitled to yours.

By all means, Yes! The last thing we need around here is some kind of spokesperson for Ga. Tech.
We need someone that prefers silence. He will be a better fit in the organization. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puke.gif

Well at least you said they. It's not just Curry, it's anyone the ask right? You're right it's just an opinion, but I think you're being naive.

Having just watched a documentary on John Adams, here is a point of reference from history, which may or may not be relevant to GT's AD search. Take the example for what it is worth.

The man who is first in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen showed up at the Second Continental Congress dressed unlike every other delegate by wearing his Virginia militia commander uniform and essentially campaigning for the job of commander of the Continental Army.

Washington was not considered the most educated or intelligent of the Founding Fathers, but he was a leader of men that delegated authority and did lead with tremendous personal presence.

Some men can lead that way and others cannot.
