FSU OC called a great game right up to the end

Congrats to the OC and QB who both did well last night rip up to the dumb idea to pitch the ball and fumble.
FSU played under control, Norvell seems like he has his guys in place. The ACC needed that win.

Apparently so. I wonder why he took a pass on Sims.

He had another 4-star QB that year that was his recruit while Sims was inherited in that class. He basically told Sims to get lost and Purdy was his guy but who was ultimately beaten out by transfer QB Jordan Travis and is now at Nebraska.

Really really stupid to not kick the gift FG after the first fumbled punt near end of 1st half. They would've been up 10 late in the game rather than 7. And then just take 3 knees and kick the XP-length FG there too.

Whomever made those decisions is a moron.
You can’t assume the scores and things that happen after would be the same. At the time getting 2-yards on a free possession was the right call, in my book. 10-3 is not much different than 7-3. And 14-3 is a whole lot different. I didn’t like the play call though.

Say what?? F$U wanted Sims in a big way. I have a buddy inside the program who confirmed at the time what a huge loss not getting Sims was for them.
From what I understand Sims was a Kendall Briles recruit. I am guessing Sims didn't want to follow him to Arkansas. No one knows for sure other than Sims, Briles and Norvell.

It’s a big difference, especially when you’re receiving the kickoff after halftime. Quintessential 2-for-1

your book is wrong. Always take the points in the 1st half. And everything would've played out the same since FSU got the 2nd half kickoff.

I don’t think it was as dumb as you’re making it out to be. I don’t think either call is necessarily wrong. I think the play call to go to the end zone was not smart. Receiving the second half kickoff makes it even less of a gamble.

Your privileges to criticize CGC or any coach this season has been revoked. You have this completely backwards. Receiving the kickoff is exactly why you play it conservative and take the points. Take the momentum in half come back score in the next drive

Funny listening to "analysts" on TV today. Skip Bayless: FSU should have taken a knee and kicked a FG to go up ten. Also Skip Bayless: LSU should have gone for two because kicking is a crapshoot.

LMFAO.

I view it as a kill shot attempt.
