If there's an 11 team divisional setup, how would u like to be with Miami,VT,Vir,WF & Duke???? Without a conf champ game after '04 season Miami & VT will get $6.2 mil each with an additional $2mil if they play in the nat'l champ game.
In a very good & informational article from the Sun-Sentinel all of the above topics are covered & more. Quite a good read:

FSU wants a 12th team now

Ace.. have you read anywhere what an ACC Championship Game would be worth?... Also, are any of the schools lobbying for any particular location for one?...

I agree with FSU, there is no reason to wait. The school presidents and ADs should be right in the middle of getting the 12th team.

I agree, it would be a good idea to start courting a few SEC teams since they have no exit fee. The USC boards don't seem too positive about the whole thing, don't know what the Florida boards are saying.

Clough is quoted as saying:

"I think that there's a lot of sentiment to do it," Clough said. "There's a certain logic to do it, but we're not in any rush. We have two great new members [in Miami and Virginia Tech].

"We need a little time bring them into the fold before we jump to any conclusions. We're going to take a little rest."
.
TELL CLOUGH TO SHUT THE HECK UP AND GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!

Let's be real clear - To Hell With Georgia and To Hell With Notre Dame.

The ACC should pursue the Univ. of Florida, Univ. of South Carolina and then back to Boston College.

As long as Clough and Braine stay out of it we might pull it off.

Clough and Braine were huge proponents of expansion and I believe helped it a great deal....don't really know why you want them to stay out.

I agree with Clough on this, based on that quote.

We need to get a 12th team, but we need to get
our house in order before we move forward. I'd
rather not go through another expansion fiasco
like we just had.

We should not go after the 12th team until we are
sure that everyone is on board and it will go
smoothly.
