2. When are people going to stop whining about noon games? TV drives this thing. You have to pay those coaches millions with Olive Garden, Altell, and All-State $$$.
3. Here's my best guess just for you 1985:

-Games ranked by TV preference (right now looking forward):
1. FSU/GT
2. Clemson/BC
3. Duke/Wake
4. Miami/UVa

-Overall picture
The GT/FSU game looks like it should be the best game on the schedule for the ACC. The biggest game that weekend by far is the Cocktail Party, although a ranked battle between FSU/GT would make a nice co-heading. For now SC/UT is scheduled for ESPN primetime. Other intriguing games are Neb/Okla, Texas/Texas Tech, and Oregon/Cal (ABC regional likely). I could see Texas/Tex Tech getting an ESPN2 primetime slot.
There is a remote possibility for a Primetime ABC lineup with regional broadcasts with Tex/TT, Oregon/Cal, and GT/FSU. I will count that as highly unlikely and say the most likely option is 3:30 on ABC with Brad Nessler, Bob Griese, and Paul McGuire calling the game.
