Louisville for Miss. St. for 2008 and 2009.

Guys...this is SMART. There is absolutely zero for us to gain by beating Louisville....and it only give Louisville something to shoot for representing the Big East against the ACC.

Our schedule is difficult enough as it is with Miami, VaTech, Georgia, and Clemson every year...thrown in with annual tough match-ups against UVA, UNC, and NCState. We also play FSU in 2008 and 2009!!!!

Future Out-of-conf./Non-division Schedules

2007- @NotDame(9/1), Army, Samford, UGA(11/24)
Clemson, @Maryland, BostonCollege

2008- Miss. St (9/20), Jax St., @Army, @UGA
@Clemson, FSU, @BostonCollege

2009- @Miss. St (9/19), Jax St., @ Vandy, UGA
Clemson, @FSU, Wake Forest

2010- OleMiss, MTS(10/16), open, @UGA
@Clemson, NCState, @Wake Forest

2011- open, @OleMiss, @MTS(9/24), UGA
Clemson, @NCState, Maryland

2012- @Alabama (9/15), MTS(9/08 ), open, @UGA
@Clemson, @Maryland, BostonCollege

2013- Vandy, open, open, UGA
Clemson, FSU, @BostonCollege

2014- Alabama (9/13), open, open, @UGA
@Clemson, @FSU, WakeForest

I like it. 2 SEC opponents a year starting in 2008. Let's try and keep this going.

I really like two year contracts with Vandy, Ole Missa, and Miss St. Will not miss Louisville one bit.

I didn't like Louisville either. They have a lot more to gain from beating us as, an ACC member, than we have to gain from beating them. They don't have exceptional talent, but do present a difficult offensive scheme for us to match up with. Mississippi State is an up and coming team in a conference that we need to keep ties with because it features the teams we compete against in recruiting throughout Southeast. A lot of SEC teams are natural match-ups for us and I am glad to add another one to the schedule.

With the way Ole Miss is starting to recruit, we may be looking at a top 15 team in 2010 and 2011.

I agree that Louisville may be a no win situation for us.

Yep

I like this a good bit better. GT recruits Alabama & Louisiana, with Texas thrown in. Mississippi St is a much better game for us than Louisville. I also really like keeping 2 SEC gms on the schedule.
Funny, tho, that the Western SEC teams always complained that Ga Tech wouldn't play them & were adamant to keep Tech from rejoining the SEC when Alabama sponsored the try to get GT back in the SEC, right before GT opted to join the ACC. Now,the Yellow Jackets are doing home & home, back-to-back, with both Miss St & Ole Miss.
I reckon we'll finally make the entire SEC happy;) . Selah.
