Coker? You be the judge.
Starting in 2002, in the recruiting dept., we ranked in 62nd, 2003 we were 49th, 2004 we were 56th, and in 2005 we were ranked at 62nd place. This averages out to have us ranked at 57.3 place over the past 4 years.
Miami on the other hand has averaged being ranked at 6th place over the last 4 years.
Now, you tell me, for GT 57th place recruiter, to come up and win over a team ranked in 6th place for the last 4 yr., whose doing the best job at the helm?
I'm saying CG has done a better job of coaching with what he has than Coker has with what he has.

It was just one game (granted a amazing game), Miami wins 9-10 games year in year out. We win 7 year in year out, and our AD tells the world and all the possible recruits Tech will never win 9-10 consistently (MORON).

Gee, 10 wins seasons or 7 and .500 in conference play year after year???

I've been saying this for years but no one listens. Outside of the top 10 players at each position in the country, there is a lot of parity in college football between player 11 and player 150.

Coker seems like a really nice guy, but realistically he hasn't done anything special for Miami. He inherited a world of talent that played in a BCS bowl the previous year. They clearly had more talent than anyone in college football at the time so they should have won the games that they did, just as they should win 9-10 games a year now regardless of who the coach is.

Agreed BOR, thats why it's important to be able to evaluate players it's easy to find the top 10 little more difficult to find the others.

Same holds true for the mutts and the other big sec teams. They will get the players to win if the coaching is in place. Donnan had good players, just did not coach'em.
It dosen't matter where you coach you've still got to COACH, some forget that.
